Jeremy is a coach, talent consultant, mentor, and educator. For nearly 25 years, Jeremy has served students, educators, and district leaders, transforming practice and achieving breakthrough results in some of the nation’s largest and most socially, culturally, and economically diverse cities. Today, more than ever, Jeremy is committed to bringing out the best in other leaders to solve both entrenched and emerging problems so that all kids get a great education.
Jeremy brings a unique people leadership perspective from more than a decade serving as Chief HR Officer in four school districts, serving up to 200,000 students and up to 25,000 staff. Five of these years were in Baltimore City Public Schools, where Jeremy led the district to record-high teacher retention rates, record-high numbers of Latinx teachers and Black male teachers, and record-low first-day teacher vacancies. Most recently, as Deputy Superintendent in the School District of Philadelphia, he supervised a team of more than 400 staff across five offices: Talent, Professional Learning, Equity, Strategy, and Information Technology.
Jeremy is a first-generation college graduate who earned a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, a Master’s degree in education from Johns Hopkins University, and a law degree from the University of Maryland. Jeremy is also a member of the International Coaching Federation and is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management. In 2024, Jeremy completed the Fellowship for Public Education Leadership with The Broad Center at the Yale School of Management.
